Teaching and Learning Philosophy

Our mission at Mandurah Baptist College is to ‘provide an excellent education in a Christian context, developing life ready students who reflect the character of Jesus’. From Kindergarten to Year 12, students receive a very high standard of education through our robust teaching and learning programs, which are developed according to external curriculum requirements whilst also being tailored to the specific needs of our students’ varied contexts. The College is dedicated to embedding evidence-based pedagogical practices in all areas of the curriculum.

“Providing an excellent education in a Christian context, developing life ready students who reflect the character of Jesus

As students pass through each phase of their schooling with us, they are equipped and empowered with the necessary age-appropriate skills and knowledge that they need to be active and positive members of society. Through interactions with our dedicated staff and our Christian environment, and through our pastoral care systems and programs, the College’s Core Values of Faith, Growth, Relationships, Integrity, and Excellence are instilled in each of our students. All students are given the opportunity to flourish and to become well-rounded individuals who will be successful in their chosen pathway. We work hard to create and sustain a strong sense of belonging in all our students and understand the importance of parents and carers as partners in their child’s education.

A part of our vision as a College is to ‘be renowned for our excellent education and pastoral care’, and we believe that this starts with providing a safe and inclusive environment, to enable each student to grow and develop academically, emotionally, socially, and spiritually.
