Based on the latest health advice as at 18 August, Phase 5 of the WA COVID-19 roadmap has been pushed back to at least 24 October. Phase 5 would see remaining restrictions removed, except WA’s hard border and access to remote Aboriginal communities. It would also see the removal of WA’s 2 square metre rule and the 50 per cent capacity for our major venues. The College will continue to update families as we plan Semester 2 events in accordance to these guidelines.
As a gentle reminder, if at any stage someone in your household has travelled interstate and is returning, we request students to remain at home if self-isolation is required for an immediate family member and it is being done at the home residence.
Primary School Assemblies
If you plan to attend a Primary School assembly this term, due to the continuance of Stage 4 COVID-19 restrictions in Western Australia, please maintain a space of one space/seat between family groups in the Lakes Theatre.
Senior School Awards Events
As indicated in the College’s COVID updates, this year we will be splitting our annual Awards Evening into an Awards Morning for Years 7-9 students and an Awards Evening for Years 10-12 students.
- The Awards Morning will be held on Wednesday 21 October, commencing at 9:00am in the Lakes Theatre.
- The Awards Evening will be held on Wednesday 21 October, commencing at 7:00pm in the Lakes Theatre.
Please note that these are compulsory events for students.
For students in Years 7-9, the Awards Morning will take place within the regular school day. Students should be wearing their full College summer uniform.
Students in Years 10-12 are required to wear their full College winter uniform and arrive at the College by 6:30pm. Students will need to go to their PCG room when they arrive to meet their PCG teacher. It is expected the evening will conclude by 8:30pm.
Due to the continuance of COVID restrictions, this year attendance at the Awards Events will be limited to parents of award winners only. Parents of award winners will be notified in a separate email with details in relation to this.
Senior School Graduation Ceremony
At the end of last term, Year 12 students were asked to indicate who would be utilizing their three additional tickets allocated for Graduation, as every family group is individually allocated. We are encouraging everyone to get this information back to the college ASAP so that any spare tickets may be put back into the system and reallocated. Feel free to reply to this email with your guest allocations if you have not done so already.
At this stage it is not yet possible to provide families for more than their allocated three tickets. Once we have this information we will be able to have a clear understanding of what extra seats are available, and may be able to reallocate some further tickets. Please note, tickets for this event will be checked at the door. Students will receive their allocated tickets straight after their last assembly on Friday morning. We look forward to celebrating this important milestone with your family.
